Looked for a stove like what we had that could be used during power outage. I can't use the oven during power outage. Not enough space in the center stovetop. The grates are taller than others making it difficult for a short person like me to see what's in the pan

Wanted a basic mode without breaking the bank. You should be aware: the broiler is no longer a drawer on many models including this one. It is a fold down door, so you have to get on your hand and knees to reach in and pull the grate out. Pain in the back/butt. Be aware if you broil often.
The top burners are nice and powerful, those grates are sturdy. Oven comes up to temp quickly, but the room does get warm, I guess they are saving a few bucks on insulation.
As most things these days, appliances are being made with thinner sheet metal. My 20 year old GE oven this replaced weighed at least 50 lbs more.

Just enough bells, etc. to be modern. Conversion to propane took a while as access to regulator is in poor location. Flames on burners difficult to see because of white background.

It's works well, I'm just not a fan of how they designed the warming tray. It's not a drawer and you have to bend low to use it. The traditional pullout drawer is more practical.

The range is perfect for our simple needs. It has the important bells and whistles, plus a couple of new (to me) capabilities. It cleans up easily and because it's the white porcelain type of finish, it doesn't show every single smudge and fingerprint hundreds of times a day! Excellent design and user friendly.

Not a fancy stove, so easy to use which is what I wanted. Features are nice and easy to get used to. Also looks nice, I purchased the white. It does take awhile to preheat for a gas oven, but otherwise happy with my purchase.

1.Broiler belongs in oven not on floor!! Ever try watching garlic bread toast while laying flat on floor? 2. Dials are place in wrong/or should be out of children's reach. They are to easily bumped into ON position allowing gas to escape when reaching timer or back burner. 3. Very hard to tell if burner is on if it's on LOW when lit, Controls are backwards on dials too. They should turn to right not left and Lite should be first not last. Unfortunately I couldn't afford a more expensive model, and I don't see the need for a burner in the middle of the range on the more expensive models when I barely use all four burners when preparing a meal. (I 've been a cook since 6 years old)

Works better than a 7-year-old Samsung that cost 3 times as much. Don't know why I let the wife talk me into the Samsung in the first place we have always had very good luck with GE appliance's every GE appliance lasted 10 to 15 years. Oh well back on track now with GE appliance now.

The best reason for buying a new GE, was that the previous stove replaced, by this new one, was over 25 years old and still working. It was also a GE. Have never has a problem with a GE appliance.
